A MISSION-DRIVEN BUSINESS

Changing lives

WOODWORKS by UpSpire is the first skills-based employment program of Presbyterian Night Shelter. We run a hands-on carpentry apprenticeship for adults experiencing homelessness or working to overcome serious barriers to employment – training them for sustainable career paths in today’s carpentry and construction industries.

About Us

WOODWORKS by UpSpire builds practical, high-quality furniture sets and individual pieces perfect for housing communities, dorm rooms, offices, restaurants, and homes.

As Presbyterian Night Shelter’s first vocational training apprenticeship, we empower adults facing serious barriers to employment with skills, job experience, wraparound support services, and a career pathway in today’s carpentry and construction industries. Contact us and find out what we can build together!
